OverviewThe MPS800 is a WAN-LAN Data Communication Server that attaches to your local-area network to provide wide-area connectivity. A single MPS communication server can support a number of WAN protocols, each of which can be accessed simultaneously by multiple clients.The MPS800 provides one 10/100 Ethernet port and eight high speed WAN serial ports, making it ideal as an intelligent WAN/LAN bridge, WAN/LAN gateway device, T1/E1 multiplexer, or a remote WAN connectivity server. As an SNMP Manages device, virtually all computers and workstations equipped with TCP/IP on the LAN can access information from these communication servers.The MPS800, like all of Performance Technologies' WAN communication products, is designed to preserve the user's software investment. Its modular design supports virtually any serial communications protocol, and application software is seamlessly portable to or from any of our WAN products
