In addition to the standard interfaces 2xRS232C, LPT, Floppy and EIDE, a "Boot Counter" and a Realtime clock are integrated as standard control functions. 4 MByte of main memory are already on board and can be expanded up to 36 MByte in the lower DIMM socket. The upper socket of this connector is used as JIPA (JUMPtec® Intelligent Panel Adaption) interface for connecting LCD flatpanels. The onboard PCI C&T Graphic Controller supports mono LCD, TFT and STN displays with resolutions up to 1280x1024. 2 MByte video memory allows color depths up to 16 million colors. A bootable BIOS compatible flash hard disk with 1,6 MByte is on board. A IDE compatible flash hard disk (chipDISK) up to 96 MByte can be plugged directly onto the 2.5" hard disk interface. As an option twisted pair Ethernet is also available.The MOPS/586 is optimized for headless operation. It includes all features of the MOPSlcd4 except graphics.
