In simpler terms, inspection in manufacturing is a process that involves the testing, gauging, measuring, and examination of a material, part or component with the main purpose of determining whether it is in proper condition or not.

1      Highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and stress screening (HASS): A highly accelerated life test is a stress testing methodology for enhancing product reliability. HALT testing is currently in use by major manufacturing and research & development organizations to improve product reliability in a variety of industries, including electronics, computers, medical, and military. It is used to identify components that will fail early before they are placed into a PCB assembly.

2    Electricity testing: Electrical safety testing is essential to ensure safe operating standards for any product or establishment that uses electricity. It also ensures that a Printed Circuit Board Assembly meets basic electrical requirements.

3      Reliability testing: This is a software testing process to confirm the software can perform a failure-free operation for a specified time period in a particular environment.


4   Functional testing: This is a type of software testing that validates the software system against the functional requirements/specifications

The root cause of failure testing: Used to determine whether a failed board spins or prototype is due to a faulty component.
