IntroductionCerberus Pyrotronics Detector Models AD-3R1 and AD-3RP are System 3 compatible air duct detectors with a detector controlled relay designed for installation in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning duct systems. The Model AD-3RI uses ionization smoke detectors and AD-3RP uses photoelectric smoke detectors in the duct detector housing to signal the presence of combustion products in a duct system. (Refer to TECHNICAL DATA for information on compatible detectors.)When smoke or combustion products are detected, shutdown of the duct system and/or operation of supplementary equipment can be provided directly by relay boards contained in the detector housing.
