DescriptionPrimarily, these low resistance standards or shunts are used in accurate measurements of large currents by the potentiometric method. They may be used as comparison standards by either the adjustable ratio Kelvin Bridge or the potentiometric method. The nominal resistance is that as measured between the potential contacts.The shunts have been designed to provide ample radiating surface for operation in air at ordinary room temperature at their rated current carrying capacities.
