OverviewThe IP-ARINC-429 IndustryPack implements the ARINC 429 avionics protocol on eight receive (Rx) channels and four transmit (Tx) channels or on 4 Rx and 2 Tx channels. IndustryPack modules can be plugged into carrier boards available for VME, CompactPCI, PCI, ISA, PC/104 and STD32.Each receiver channel is configurable to either low speed (12.0 to 14.5 kHz) or high speed (100 kHz) operation, 32 or 25 bits word length. The line receiver carries ±10 V differential ARINC data signals. It is protected against shorts to ±29V and provides common mode voltage rejection.Each transmitter channel is configurable to either low speed (12.0 to 14.5 kHz) or high speed (100 kHz) operation, 32 or 25 bits word length. Each transmitter channel includes an 8 deep, 32 bit wide FIFO buffer. Data word length is programmable to 32 or 25 bits. Each transmitter may be programmed to either even or odd parity mode. All signals are compatible with the P-429 PC•MIP module. Compensation is programmable.
