DescriptionPneutronics PC/PT Phase Cut Input Pneumatic Output Transducer
Key FeaturesNon-bleed device (no air consumption in steady state) 3-15 PSI adjustable. Internal accurate closed loop control Jumper selectable analog inputs
Typical Applications• Phase cut to pneumatic
OverviewThe PC/PT transducer consists of an Pneutronics ‘VIP’ transducer and a PC/PT sub module. The PC/PT sub-module converts a phase cut signal to 1 to 5V DC and connects to the VIP’s terminal block. The Pneutronics ‘VIP’ accepts either a 4 to 20mA signal or a 1 to 5V DC signal and produces a 3 to 15 psi pneumatic signal. The PC/PT is a low air consumption, nonbleed, pneumatic interface device.
OperationThe PC/PT sub-module accepts a 0 to 20 volt phase cut signal which is converted through an optical coupler to a 1 to 5V DC voltage to drive the VIP transducer. The PC/PT-sub permits field selection of reverse or direct action. This allows normally open pneumatic heating valves to have the signal reversed for normal operation from a Staefa phase cut output controller. The VIP is equipped with zero and span potentiometers to adjust for start points and range. The VIP compares the pneumatic output pressure through an on-board feedback signal and either adds or reduces pressure through solenoid valves to track the input signal.
