OverviewMiLAN’s Ethernet media converters offer connectivity options for legacy networks by converting 10BASE-T to Fiber or 10BASE-T to 10BASE2. Fiber distances in Multi-mode extend up to 2km and in Single-mode up to 15km.A standard MDI/MDI-X crossover switch on the modules allows simple and fast connection to a PC, hub, or switch. When used within our MIL-9100 and MIL-9200 Media Conversion Systems, the Ethernet modules are completely hot-swappable, eliminating the need for powering down during insertion or removal. An optional SNMP management module allows for monitoring or configuration of other modules on an individual basis, allowing system administrators to remotely verify link and status information.
