OverviewConverters use metallic rectifiers to bias the core of saturable inductances. Self-starting and operate without moving parts.They are characterized by instant starting with low inrush current, protection on overload, r~serve capacity, regulated output ringing voltage, d-c. path for superimposed ringing and, of course, by ever-important fixed frequency output.There are two types: 20-cycle and 30-cycle; all operable from 105-125-volt, 60-cycle supply.
