DescriptionKrom Schroder PFS Series Process Firing Systems.The system is based on plug-in panel modules which are installed in a 19" subrack. The sub-rack is then wired to provide the system required for the specific application. Primary power to the system is switchable between 110/120 V AC or 220/240 V AC. The same power is also supplied to the burner control units for control of the air and gas solenoids via relay contacts and for the semiconductor output to the ignition transformer. The power supply module generates the 24 V DC control logic voltage.

ApplicationsThe PF burner management system is a modular system which provides flame supervision for burners of unlimited capacity firing on gas. Flame supervision is accomplished via flame rod or UV detectors. The system is specifically designed to work with new burner firing techniques, such as pulse firing, but is equally adaptable to other firing techniques.The modular system can be arranged to provide individual light-off control of each burner in a multi-burner system.Flame on and failure indication are also provided as well as air valve status indication when used in a pulse-fired system. The auxiliary relay module may be used to provide individual limit switch status annunciation. Each flame supervisor module includes test jacks for measurement of the flame signal current.
