The new 82559 features are: Backward compatible to the 82557 and 82558 software. Low power 3.3 V device: Clockrun protocol support. System Management Bus (SMB) support. Wired for Management support (WfM). Expanded Wake on LAN capabilities. 128 Kbytes Flash size support. (The 82558 only supported a 64 Kbyte Flash.) Thin ball grid array (BGA) 15 x 15 mm package.
