OverviewThe Flexstar Programmable Power Array (PPA) is a multi-output programmable power array with up to 32 dual output channels. Each channel provides two outputs: +5V and +12V nominal. Each voltage can be independently programmed from zero volts to its maximum value.The power channels are networked together and only a single RS-232 connection is required to connect to a PC. The power supplies are housed in a 19” rack-mount enclosure which can be mounted in a standard NEMA rack or used as a desktop system.Up to two PPA’s can be connected together to provide up to 64 channels of programmable power (128 voltages), still with only one RS-232 connection.Each voltage output has corresponding voltage and current read-back and, in addition, each channel has temperature measurement capability. Provided with the system is a Windows based utility to manipulate and test each channel. A Windows DLL to allow software developers to develop their own applications is also available.
