DescriptionArcom SPIB8 80 Channel Parallel I/O Interface Board | Digital I/O Board
DescriptionArcom SPIB80 80-Channel Parallel I/O Expansion STEbus ModuleSPIB80 provides 80 I-IL-compatible digital I/O lines and is an exceptionally economic building block for high channel count systems. All lines are bi-directional, bit-programmable and fully buffered, providing a versatile module for reading and writing digital signals. For integrity in control applications, channels can be disabled on power-up set to float high or low, in 10 groups of eight - an important safeguard for assisting failsafe engineering On-board resources include a clock - link-selectable for a timebase of 1MHz, 100kHz or 10kHz - A 71054 device provides three 16-bit counter-timers One counter-timer provides interrupts for activating periodic channel scanning sequences, the others are general-purpose, providing (for example) a pulse tram output or generating interrupts from some input event. Eight lines (the most significant bit in each channel group) generate edge-triggered interrupts. A red LED illuminates when the board is addressed, providing instant feedback A user-programmable green LED lights when a particular I/O address is accessed; this is ideal for diagnostics tests. I/O channels are routed via two 50-way riubbon cable headers compatible with the Signal Conditioning Bus. Features: 80 I/O channels All lines bi-directional, bit-programmable and fully buffered Outputs can be disabled on power-up Three 16-bit counter-timers Link-selectable timebase Eight interrupt inputs Two status LEDs Signal Conditioning Bus interface
