DescriptionAs an advanced digital cross connect, the Alcatel 1631 LMC terminates asynchronous and SONET signals. It interconnects and monitors these signals with Alcatel FlexPoint technology card software, selectable as either DS3, EC-1/STS1, or VT1.5/DS1 level with performance monitoring on every embedded signal. The Alcatel 1631 LMC's I/O interfaces include DS1s, DS3s, STS-1s, OC-3s, OC-3cs and OC-12cs. Its capacity ranges from 1 port to 3,360 DS3 equivalent ports to support the growth and ensure the reliable operation of the most complex networks.
